My tubes were just tided so I was wondering how much would it cost to untie them? And also what are my chances of having a baby with my tubes tied?

I also found the above advice to be a bit in ignorance. People hear "Mexico" and they automatically conjure up ideas about things. I, too, was very nervous - not so much about HAVING my reversal done in Mexico - but more about what other people would THINK about me having my reversal in Mexico! However, I have friends who have had cancer treatments done in Mexico that worked - so I figured to heck with what other people think! Unless they can give me a baby!!!

Anyway, I went and had my tubes reversed and I now have a 3 year old son and a 1 year old daughter to thank for it! Now when I tell people I got my reversal done in MX they raise their eyebrows, but when I tell them about how much less expensive it is for just as good, if not better, results then they almost always take down the information for themselves or someone else that is regretting their tubal ligation!!

Oh and to the poster who asked how do we know that these good reports aren't all from staff? NONE of the staff I interacted with spoke one word of English, so unless Dr. Levi himself is going all over the internet posting, then these are all reports from real people. If you are REALLY afraid of having the surgery done in MX then don't go - but make the decision for yourself because I know I'd do it all over again! I am so thankful for my two babies - I couldn't imagine my life without them!!

Blessings to all in their quest for a TR!

I too went to Dr. Perez and would recommen him to anyone wanting a reversal. He is very affordable, the hospital was clean and most importantly he is extremely skilled at what he does. I have seen huge success with the women that use him. I had my reversal in 2006 and have a 3 year old daughter and a son that just turned 1 2 weeks ago. These are my husband's only children thanks to Dr. Perez.

I was also hesitant at first to got to Mexico, but when I could never get the funds to go to a US doctor I finally took a shot, and I am so glad that I did. It changed my life. My babies bring me so much joy.

I know that since I went, there has been violence at some border towns, so of course use caution and your common sense. But I have heard of no one going that had any problenms whatsoever.

Please visit the message board and find out for yourselves. There are a whole lot of us out here, :)

I would have their local cab company come pick you up from Mc Allen Texas to take you directly to the hospital. For 170.00 they will take you round trip to and from your hotel or airport in Mc Allen to the hospital. Have you checked out their website yet? I have paid all the deposits and have an appointment for the 17th of June. Best of luck to you and hopefully me too.. :)

The cost depends on where you go. I myself am going to a clinic at the University of Utah. I won't go to Mexico. It cost about $6500. And the success depends on how your tubes were tied. Mine have clips on them so I will have a better chance than someone who was burnt.

You know I am from McAllen, Texas and a Hispanic, but I still would not think of crossing the border right now. I see all these postings recommending you to go over to Rio Bravo, Mexico, and personally I would not recommend it. The conditions on the border right know are extremly bad (shootings, killings, etc.). Besides that you really don't know what kind of services you are going to get over there. I'm sure there are some honest, clean doctors over there, but I would not put my life at risk. I am a 30 year old single mother of 4 and have had a tubal ligation done and now that I am dating I feel like I made a really big mistake by doing this. I feel as though I will never find anyone because of this and have considered looking into getting a reversal done if i feel I have found the right person. But please do not go over there unless you have done some serious research on the doctor you are considering.

Hi my name is Anna, I just went to Dr. Perez on April 13th I had my tubal reversal, it's been 2 weeks. I am feeling great, recovering quickly, tomorrow I go back to work.
I am replying to this post because I find it to be very ignorant advice. The town is not right across the border, it's clean and pretty, my husband and I walked 4 blocks from the hospital the first day we got there and it was really nice. Nothing happened. I was nervous about going there myself, but I heard so many good things about Dr. Perez on other Dr's from over here sites. So I found his website and joined the forum there and after getting to know so many women around the country that had nothing but good things to say about them, I decided to go there. I am very glad that I did, the hospital was great! It was so clean, the staff was awesome, the Dr.'s were very professional and kept us totally informed. Plus, the food was delicious, I can go on. One other important thing is that they offer a shuttle service from McAllen, Tx. and Harlington, Tx., to and from, so we flew there and they were waiting for us. TOP NOTCH!
By the way, I am definitely not a staff of theirs. I live in Louisiana.

I hope this helps.

I am really considering getting a tubal reversal and am looking to do this with Dr. Perez in Rio Bravo MX. What is the shuttle service from harlingen tx called and do you know the cost??
