me and my boyfriend were together for a year and a few months! we broke up in june but never stop having sex. we never used protection and around febuarary of our relationship i started to notice everytime we had intercourse there would be a fishy oder and after he nutted the oder would be stronger. Then i started to have a milky discharge with out an oder, every soap i used when showering would make the fishy oder very stronger. And sometimes during normal ativities i would feel ALOT of discharge running out with a VERY BAD oder. I used yeast infection cream hopeing that would work and sometimes the fishy oder would go away but not for good. His penis never smelled like fish only when he nutted inside of me and while during sex there was always a thick white substance on his penis after he entered it inside of me. I finally went to the dr and found out i had Trich but i dont know how to tell him and i dont want him to blame me for giving it to him how should i bring it to him because during the whole relationship i never had sex with anyone else but him so i know for sure no one else has given it to me. His penis is partially circumcised could that be where the trich came from????

Trichomonas is treated with an anti-protozoan antibiotic. This sexually transmitted infection is not long term, and cureable. Usually a one time does is all that is needed. But be VERRY AWARE that when you start taking this antibiotic, do not have sex with your partner, not even once while on the antibiotic, because most likely whoever contracted the infection first, still has it. So you have it, and your having sex with your partner, he has it too, there's no way around it. He definitly has the infection too. That's why his nut smells like fish also, and why you have the weird milky discharge. I know it must be embarrassing to ask your doctor these questions I understand, but you should talk to him/or her about this still. Also, you say your completely monogamous, meaning you haven't been with anyone else but him...so, you couldn't have gotten it anywhere else, BUT HIM, so, if what your saying is the truth, then you have gotten it from him. And if you explain this to him and tell him that there is medically no way that you have given it to him, that you didn't have it first, then he NEEDS not should, but NEEDS to understand that it's serious, and he has to undergo the same thing, and go get the anti biotic also, and even though when your trich is gone, while he's taking the antibiotic, he cannot have sex with you, cause he will then pass it on to you again! Not until it's completely out of ur systems should you have sex again. That means, after finishing the antibiotics, you NEED to get checked up by your doctor again, to make sure that it has disappeared completely, and is gone. Also while explaining to him that you know what that smell is coming from cause you have gone to the doctors. Tell him it's NOT an STD, it's a normal infection that woman and men get, just like a yeast infection or a urinary tract, those things don't always have to come from having sex, or having sex with multiple people. Sometimes they just appear, just like they disappear, but in some cases, after waiting too long, you do need medications to help get rid of it...tell him it's not that serious, it just means not having sex for a little while until it's gone, and let him know, that it's not like herpes or anything, it does come back, once you take the meds, it's GONE! Also, it is know that Trichomonas Vaginitis, which is the scientific name, as known as Trich...comes from the Males genital tracts. Kinda like HPV...woman aren't the carriers...but we get it from the males junk...lol..like semen...I know this all stressful, but it's true, and you will get rid of it, and you will be able to move on with life, simply by taking some pills, and having a second check up. Here are a couple websites on it...i hope I helped, sorry it was so long...and again, tell him that it's a parasitic infection..not an STD...okay!! Good luck! If he doesn't understand, he's not worth your tears!!! Also..this infection is mostly caused by having mulitple sexual partners, so if your being honest, you also need to ask him if he has been also...if you need to talk more just message me

If you lets sperm dry on his penis after masturbation or sex, tha's where your fishy smell is coming from. Clean it after masturbation, use nistatine (nonistat) twice a day for a week.

Here are some instructions for your boyfriend:
It is really easy to painlessly clean out your foreskin without retracting it. Here are two ways:
1. Urine is a sterile substance when it leaves the body so it is an excellent washing agent. Pinch the tip of your foreskin shut when you pee. Let the urine fill up your foreskin. You will see your foreskin balloon because of the urine inside. Then release the tip and all of the urine inside your foreskin will come gushing out and clean out whatever is inside. This is best done in the shower as it tends to be messy. Do that as often as you can.
or
2. Get a rubber bulb ear syringe from a drug store, pharmacy, or chemist’s shop. These are designed to squirt warm water into ear canals to clean them out. They also work great for cleaning out foreskins. Fill the ear syringe with warm (not hot) water and then insert the tip of the syringe into your foreskin. Then squeeze the bulb and a jet of warm water will squirt into your foreskin and clean out whatever is inside. This can be done over the bathroom washbasin.
Don’t use soap or body wash inside your foreskin because soap dries out the skin oils essential for good health.
