Same problem here guys. I'm 19, and I wasn't actually diagnosed with epididymitis, but once everything else possible was ruled out, we just kinda figured it must be that. So, I started taking antibiotics, and now the pain is in fact gone, but one testicle (the affected one) hangs much higher than before, and even more forward in front of the other one. When I sit down, it actually moves all the way in front of the other one, but then goes back into position when I stand up. I feel no pain, and my doctor said there was nothing wrong with me, but I don't know. I don't think it used to be this way... It worries me a little, and I can't stop checking down there to see if it has moved back to where it used to be. I guess if this is a normal side effect, and there's no reported complications, then I'll just have to get used to it... But I think it did look better before, and I'm not sure what actually happened. The actual testicle itself does not look smaller, and I don't think it's swollen, even though the scrotum around it is a little pinker than the other one. Maybe it will just go away. IF anyone knows what happened, then please respond.

I have the same problem:
The left testicle hangs really, really low, and is almost horizontal. The right testicle is high up and in front of the left testicle. Whenever my scrotum tenses up, it becomes really noticeable - the right testicle will shift more to the left and up and the left testicle will still be low and behind.
I've asked two urologists, two emergency room doctors, and two general practitioners - and they all see nothing wrong with it, although they all agree it looks odd. They offer no explanation for it.

I was told it's because it's similar to how a balloon works - it's normal when you buy it, but if you blow it up and let it down again then it's lost the original shape. Was told it's nothing to worry about.

I am 24 and I began feeling pain about aweek ago, went in to get it checked the next morning and was sent away to return if it worsened. The pain did not get too much worse but the testicle in question, I noticed, started sitting farther up and at a different angle. I went back in and was told it was epididymitis. The doctor said that the raised testicle was possibly from the cremaster muslce reacting to the infection, or another muslce (can't remember the name now).
Anyone else hear this from their doctor?

One thing to note is that there is no definitive explanation for this sort of thing. After going through this harrowing ordeal, I came to the realisation that doctors and specialists label a lot of the things they don't understand as "epididymitis." A few things to take into consideration,
1. Imaging studies are a hit or miss:
- Ultrasounds are the most common and they pick up some things; I guess it might depend on who reads/interprets them. CT-scan and MRIs pick up a few other things, but not much more.
2. Exploratory surgery is your other option:
- However, no respectable surgeon is going to start cutting a guy up unless he knows for sure what he has. It's a weird catch-22. One would think the point of exploratory surgery is to find out what is wrong, but in the case of urosurgery, the surgeon has to know what is wrong and what to look for.
3. Surgery is not the be-all, end-all to these problems:
- Some guys come out worse than when they came in, which is why surgeons are wary of doing anything that drastic. Some guys say, "Just remove the testicle!" The surgeon will counter with, "What if you still feel the pain or discomfort after the testicle is removed?" Orchiectomy is serious surgery reserved best for men with cancer or who have crytorchidism.
4. Unfortunately, there is no treatment, medication, surgery, or cure for a testicle that is hanging at a different angle other than maybe orchiopexy.
- Still, if a surgeon pexes the testicles, what may happen is that the scrotum will be pulled up into that odd position or angle.
This is why some doctors will ask or tell a patient he may just "have to live with it..."

Lots of men have 2 balls hanging at the same level. So many people are so dumb to always say that is not true but it is. Mine have always been the same. Epididtymis clogs the pipes creating weight and tugging and can create infections and almost always makes the balls different heights or more of a height change then normal.

Has ANYONE here found out anything more about their case? In my case suddenly out of nowhere my testicles (specifically my left) started feeling uncomfortable and displaced. I was instantly afraid of testicular torsion, but now that it has been 48 hours and i don't really feel pain i haven't bothered getting it checked yet. I also had that my left testicle feels swollen and moved all the way in front of my right. It freaked me the fuckout so i actually tried to push it back into place. I am still scared of testicular torsion because all i can find on the internet is about 360-720 degree twist, but what if my testicle is only twisted 180 or even 120 degrees, causing the blood to not be entirely but only partially cut off? I just don't know... I feel like if i go to a urologist i will get the same answer as everyone else, including my brother who experienced the same thing aswell. I am pretty goddamn paranoid especially since i just noticed something which looks like stretchmarks or scarring on my nob, which definately wasn't there before either. I don't have any STD's nor have i even been sexually active at all the last couple of years. This is completely out of nowhere and i am scared. It doesn't hurt but it is very discomforting as if my left testicle is constantly being very lightly squished, causing this very light uncomfortable feeling in my lower belly. Should i go see a urologist or just get used to it?
