Hello, how is everyone? hopefully good. I just have a question. And i hope you guys can help and if you can get back to me as sooon as possible that would be awesome.

Alright here it goes, I was on birth control for about 5 months, and i recently stopped them about a month ago. So the beginning of November. And about 2 weeks ago, I had really bad cramps figuring it was my period coming becuase normally I get my cramps ahead of my period so me and my boyfriend decided to have sex and forgetting about the condom. STUPID! and i Havent had it since. Im totally confused and I dont know what to do.

I'm planning on taking a test, but im scared and I would rather have some insite first.

Thanx for the time.

relax, you are doing the right thing, simply take a test and see what happens.
(Although your post wasnt totally clear I assume that is past the 5 day limit to take a morning after pill now? - you said the sex was 2 weeks ago)

These painful cramps were probably the body's adjusting to there no longer being the hormones of the contraceptive pill present in your system, it messes up your cycle a bit. Some women dont see their period for weeks after stopping the pill as it copes with working on its own again after being on synthetic hormones for so long, which unfortunately makes predicting ovulation difficult to see whether you are at any risk of conception.

In any case, unprotected sex is unprotected sex, I suppose all you can do is take a HPT - always take a second test regardless of results to ensure accuracy. and continue doing so every week until your period arrives.

just out of interest, why did you discontinue taking the pill?
