My husband was diagnosed growths in urethra. He does not seem very worried about that and avoid talking to me about his disease. He visited his physician several times in last 3 weeks. Should I be worried for him? What does it mean when man has growths in urethra? Please post.

This may be condition caused by urethral polyps, which are non cancerous growths in urethra. They can be removed surgically. Technique that is used in removing of urethral polyps is minimally invasive. Urologist uses fiber optic instrument and removes the growth with another miniaturized instrument. So, if urethral polyps are your husband’s problem, you should not be that worried.

Hello there kottler,

If you can’t get your husband to talk with you we can just guess what is wrong and why is he avoiding sharing such important things with you. I presume that his condition isn’t serious at all and that he knows you very well and that he presumes that you are going to be stressed about this so he doesn’t want you to worry. But he probably didn’t consider that guessing what is wrong with him can be equally frustrated.

Unfortunately there are few conditions which are quite severe when growths in urethra are in question but there is no point talking about it if you don’t know the facts so I would suggest either to try to talk with him one more time or be patient.
