I am 42 years old and recently started experiencing bleeding while having intercourse with my husband. Intercourse is not painful by any means. I have also started experiencing an abnormal discharge. It varies from yellow to pink....to red during my cycle. I have an odd odor which I can only explain by simply saying "sour". I have done a home vaginal screening test and my vaginal PH was above 7.0 which indicates a more alkaline environment than should be. I have made an appointment with my ob/gyn for Febuary 6th and until then am refraining from anything intravaginal. No tampons, douches, or sex. I also have no burning, itching or redness. I do not have the feeling that I need to urinate alot or any sense of urgency when I do need to go. Outside of bleeding during sex, abnormal discharge and sour odor I have no complaints or other symptoms. Like I said, I am going to have myself medically evaluated on the 6th but until then has anyone experienced any of these symptoms and if so what was the diagnosis.
