It increases the sedating effects of alcohol and other drugs like anti-anxiety drugs, narcotic pain killers, etc……in the combination with these drugs treats like already mentioned anxiety and could be used in major surgeries before and after general anesthesia.

The most common side effects are tiredness, sleepiness, dizziness, abdominal pain, disturbed coordination, confusion, irritability, blurred vision, loss of appetite, nausea, etc
