We don't use protection and we have intercourse almost every day, my period is late

So I have had a regular period since I had my son and the is three now. My boyfriend and I do not use condoms and we have sex almost everyday. My last menstrual was Feb 25 and then I didn't get a period for the whole month of march. I noticed yesterday some bleeding and it just got heavier could this be my period or could I be pregnant. I need help figuring this out.
