I graduated high school at the a age of 17, 115 pounds and 5"7'. I was always teased about my size. My sister was always small too. She was 5"3'.
It is very unfair that the public punishes everyone for one or just a few persons dumb ways of loosing weight. In reality it is the medis's fault because they want to make money on the power of the word. This is how newspapers and scandalsheets make money.
Dont be dismayed by what people say. Stand your ground. Stand tall. Be proud. You are you and you are who you are and no one can can change that and if they don't like it then they can "kiss it where the sun don't shine".
I am sick and tired of all this hype of everyone that is skinny is because they are doing something stupid to make them that way.
Some people are naturally BIG. Some people are naturally SMALLLLLL.

im 5'5 and im 101 pounds. i hate it though, because everyone calls me skinny and i hate that. i always try to eat a lot to get a perfect body, and its NOT easy!

I really want to gain some more weight...I eat like a pig...meaning anything thats placed in front of me....yet I still can't seem to gain any weight...I gained 2lbs (107) over the Holidays...but now I dropped back down to 105. Im a dancer...so I excerise daily....any tips for me??

My doctor recommended eating 2 eggs daily:
1 in da morning
1 in da evening.
Alsoo a banana in da morning with a mug full of milk!

i dont look fat or anything....i just luk healthy and my cheeks have gone a tiny bit bigger which makes me look fresh and bright now.

However, this is my normal size, despite the fact that it puts me below the 5th percentile in the doctor's growth chart. (That means I'm really little, height-wise and weight-wise.) Most likely, if you eat normally, you don't really need to change your diet. By the time we move into our early 20's, our metabolisms will start to slow down, because we'll have reached physical maturity. Then we'll start gaining weight naturally, even if our diet stays the same.
Think of it this way -- if you're skinny now, most likely, you'll be able to retain a good figure during adulthood, rather than going from normal to plump. It's just a matter of time. =)

First of all you do not want to be skinny I'm 14 and hate it. people look at me and think I am disgusting it really hurts my feelings. And I find it soo frustrating. I do not have an eating disorder and find it impossible to put on weight so you are lucky :(

I know exactly what you are talking about! Next month I am turning fourteen too and I am super skinny. I am around to almost 5'0 and 65 pounds ish which is below the healthy weight for kids my age. I eat sooo much and never seem to gain. People always ask me why I am so skinny and if I don't I like to eat, and I totally do! Heck I just finished off my angus Mcdonalds mushroom and swiss burger, lol. People just don't understand, I mean fat people have it hard too, I'll give you that, but when you are naturally skinny and can't gain weight it is as equally hard. You get the same exact judgement. I will literally eat 50 Rigatoni's in one sitting or more, plus loads of Cinnabun's. I like fatty foods. I can eat 4 pounds worth of food in a day and not gain a single ounce.
I have tried to add new foods to my diet and such, but nothing really works. I have gained a couple pounds, but it's not enough. People say to drink milk shakes and things but I don't like heavy or creamy things like that. I will try the egg thing a couple of people have recommended above. I think all of us on here are this thin because of our metabolisms. Mine must run real fast. I hope all of us skinny kids out there will hopefully eventually grow out of it. It really is not being lucky to being this skinny, I would take being 10 pounds overweight of what the average weight is anyday. The only tip I have that gained me like 2 pounds was an increase of breakfast items, french toast, waffles and pancakes with tons of syrup. It is not heavy on your stomach if you don't like being uncomfortably stuft, but it does give you a lot of energy. Another thing is people start thinking you don't want to gain weight, but I try to gain weight everyday. I love food! My twin is now 20 pounds more than me, which is sad. She doesn't have a hard time gaining weight anymore. I am going to keep trying to though.
Any suggestions of easy, not filling foods to eat that help gain weight? I love almonds and stuff like that.
