I am so excited yet scared too. Do you know I mean? It has been a long weekend thinking about it. My wife and I were able to go to the beach both days and that really helped take my mind off of it. That wasn't the right dr. to go to. I don't know why I went there. I am so frustrated! I work at a community college and spoke with the a nursing instructor and she was going to contact someone she knew at Duke Medical. I also am waiting hear back about an appointment up there after filling out my info online. The neuro-ophthalmologist set me up for another MRI but this time of my brain. I had one done of my neck and a CT scan done of my head. I'll keep you posted if I can get in at Duke. I better start saving! Take care.

MRI of my head came back all clear. I don't know what to do. I feel awful. I am taking Vicadin and Tramadol every stinking day for the headaches. If it isn't my neck or head causing the headaches, then what the hell can it be? I am so angry right now and frustrated. I feel like giving up. No one can help. It is unbelievable.

Don't give up...You still have another angle to look into. You can feel depressed, but don't stay there. You have every right to feel the way that you do, but after a point, it takes your energy away from finding answers. Have you mood, then get up, get out and find a healthy distraction. I know that the headache interferes with that, but it will help your spirit a bit. Then, with tomorrow being a new day, it's a new opportunity to look towards a solution. You can do it. There are people who need you.

I went to the headache clinic yesterday in Raleigh. I got a totally different possbility than anything else I heard. The doctor thinks it is an under active thyroid. It he had do a some blood tests and I'll know in two weeks. not one other doctor mentioned that or if thought to check it. You are right, you can never give up. :-D

I've gotten the test results back and I do have hypothyroidism! I've been on Armour Thyroid for two weeks and feel amazing. I've started exercising and eating better. I had to cut out caffeine and the pain pills cold turkey which was quite difficult but I feel great. I've got energy and the headaches are getting better each and everyday. Thank you Dr. Mathews! Don't give up! It took me a whole year to find out what was wrong with me. My low body temp was the clincher. In the morning it was 96.1-96.7. :D :D :D
