Someone please help me, I'm depressed and extremely worried. I'm a 17 year old female, and I weigh 144 pounds. A few days ago I consumed 8 shots of vodka, later I became extremely dizzy and my skin began feeling tingly and numb. By the way please note that I have NEVER DRINKEN BEFORE! This was my first time! Anyways shortly after I looked up the symptoms and I was told there is a possibility it could be a neuropathy of sorts! I don't want this to be permanent!! I'm just barely starting my life!

Hi, guest.

Given your reaction and the fact that you're underage, it's advisable to avoid consuming alcohol. Your body's reaction to alcohol, especially as a first-time drinker, can be unpredictable and sometimes dangerous.

It sounds like you're feeling very overwhelmed and anxious. Consider reaching out to a mental health professional. They can provide support, guidance, and coping strategies to help you manage your feelings of depression and anxiety.

Engage in activities that promote your overall well-being. This includes regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and activities that you enjoy and that make you feel good.

Remember, while it's important to seek guidance and support for both your physical and mental health concerns, it's also vital to be kind to yourself during this time. You're dealing with a lot, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Taking steps towards recovery and self-care is a brave and positive move.
