Seems like everyone says the same thing, a pain the in the shoulder blades or pain on the right side under the ribs.
My pain is like right underneath my sternum towards the center, it feels like someone punched me really hard, the pain is constant and lasts for hours. I start feeling nauseous and start to get all clammy, can't really stand up straight either.
Ive not been diagnosed with gallstones however Im certain I have them as my sisters had to have their's taken out by age 16-18. I'm having an attack right now, damn it hurts. It starts off feeling like I'm getting hungry, as if my stomach is about to growl, of course it doesn't and the pain just gets worse and worse.

That sounds like my attacks. I get a pain just under my sternum and it slowly ramps up over the course of 10-15 minutes. A normal attack for me lasts about 45 minutes. Sometimes, I throw up. Pushing on my pain seems to alleviate it faster--massage the area that hurts.
I, too, then feel clammy and out of it for about 24 hours. It's like you're coming down with something.
I have been dealing with painful attacks for 2 years, and finally consented to having the surgery. I go in on April 8th. I am tired of dealing with not knowing when the attacks will happen, and am afraid that I will have one that doesn't end.
Good luck to you--
Kristen
