Minihep (or heparin sodium) is a prescription-only preparation of the anticoagulant heparin. It can be used to treat various forms of thrombosis, and is available in a form for injection. I know that because I studied about that in my medical school. Heparin is indicated prior to and during attempted cardioversion or surgery to prevent systemic thromboembolism.
