Hi! I see a lot of you from Australia! I'm from United States. I have searched the internet all over for people with my symptoms and no luck until I come here. For the past 3 months I have been having rectal bleeding right before I have my period. It always stopped within a day or day and a half before period but this time it has continued. Three days until I started my period. This bleeding sounds like you're actually peeing and it's quite a bit of blood. This time also for the first time, there was clots on the tissue as well. I have been so afraid and sick to my stomach over this because my mom had colon cancer. I'm only 36 years old and terrified to die and leave behind my two small babies. I keep seeing something about endometriosis? Do you bleed a lot from rectum with endometriosis? Someone please help give me some advice and opinions. I have a doctor app but it's still over a week away. They didn't care about me explaining and had me wait over a month for an app. Even then I can't be so sure they will get to the bottom of this because we don't have great doctors where I live. Help pls. Thank you for reading!

Rectal bleeding right before your period can be caused by a variety of conditions, including endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition where the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of it, which can cause pain, bleeding, and other symptoms.
When endometriosis affects the rectum or bowel, it can cause rectal bleeding, especially around the time of menstruation. Other symptoms of endometriosis that may be present include painful periods, pain during sex, and infertility.
However, rectal bleeding before your period can also be caused by other conditions, such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Your doctor may recommend imaging tests, such as an ultrasound or MRI, or a minimally invasive procedure called a laparoscopy to diagnose endometriosis. Treatment options for endometriosis may include pain medication, hormonal therapy, or surgery.
