My son is going to the surgery. Doctors must remove his appendix. But he is terrified of doctors and procedure itself. He is 23 years old and he is very agitated. I think that doctor will have a lot of problems with controlling his agitation. They have realized that themselves and they want to use droperidol. They say that it is faster then haloperidol. What is the evidence that droperidol is faster than haloperidol for control of agitation?

To explain you why and how I would have to be too precise and to use terms that you probably would not understand. Let the evidence be my long experience in that area of health. There have been researches that confirm my opinion. Droperidol is faster acting then haloperidol at 10, 15 and 30 minutes but at the 60 minutes haloperidol catches up. Also haloperidol lowers the blood pressure.
