Hi. I'm 6 year old young mother and I'm interested to find out more information about one, for many, trivial condition.
I'm talking about fever. I have never think about it seriously but now- it is time to reinvestigate all possible causes.
I have heard that young children often have these fever attacks and I that’s why I would like to know everything there is to know about it just to be ready when the time comes.
Beside possible causes, I would also like if someone could tell me what is the usual treatment!

I know that most of the people consider fever to be something trivial but I insure you- it is far from trivial. Most common symptoms are sweating, shivering, headache, muscle aches, lack of appetite, dehydration and general weakness.
Fever is never an isolated event- it is always part of some bigger underlying disease. There are many possible causes such as viral and bacterial infections… It can also be a side effect of some medications such or it can be side effect of regular child’s immunization!
You understand that the key of therapy is to reduce the body’s temperature and the treat underlying disease!
