I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy the whole operation is. For you, I don't know about the surgeon.

I had 6x bypass surgery in 1996 and it was nothing like when I had my tonsils out in 1950. They wheeled me into the operating room, introduced themselves, and I was asleep. They didn't ask me to count backwards from 100 or anything, I was just out. When I woke up there was no horrible hangover from the anesthetic and they kept me really comfortable. The lack of pain was what I found really remarkable.

I'm sure they have improved some since I had that operation but I don't know how they could make it much better.

Have they told you what to expect? I suspect you will have only a tiny hole, nothing like the foot long openings I got in my chest, arm and leg.

So I think you will be back in no time, feeling great.
