Hey guys i am 17 years old and i visted my doctor yesterday and asked about these small white bumps i have on my penis. I had already done some research and i figure they are sabaceous cysts and they are harmless other than the fact that they are gross to feel. My doctor said that they mean nothing, but they would always be there, I was hoping for some sort of solution which he didnt provide. He said there was nothing to worry about and nothing that could be done and called them a 'minor birth defect'. It was sort of embaressingto have to ask my mom to schedule the appointment but is it worth asking to see if there is anything that can be done? if i was with a girl would she even notice them or care? and is there anything i can do myself to try and remove them??

What you have is called pearly penile papules. About 25% of adult men have them, the majority of them uncircumcised. They can be removed using a CO2 laser mini surgery, but doctors will usually advice you not to get this procedure because there is always a risk of something going wrong.

If you receive oral sex your partner might be able to see them, but otherwise they will go unnoticed. Also, if you explain what you have and that it can't be transmitted in any way your partner will most likely not care.

You shouldn't try to pick at them or removing them yourself because you might hurt your skin. (gets very very bloody)

i actually am circumsized but ur right i think this is what i have, its surprising to me that 25% of males have them when i have never heard of anyone else talk about them before but that is reassuring. Thanks for the help
