Hi im Ashley im 12 years old and I, as odd as it sounds want to start my period. I do have pubic hair, and have been showing alot of discharge. I know it sounds akward but I really want to know if Im late and when the heck I will start! Please get back to me?!?!?!?!?!?

Hello I'm also 12.I got my period when I was 8 and trust me it is not fun.AT ALL!I know it may be awkward but ask your mom when she got it.Girls start their period usually about a year before their mother.Plus it depend on if you're having cramps,if you have any hair "down there" or under your arms and how big your breasts are.Hope this help.

Don't be in a rush to start your period! You want your period because you want to be a woman, but as soon as you get it you'll understand how much of a hassle the whole thing is, lol.
Some young women start as young as 8 and as late as 14. Because you're experiencing discharge, you're likely to start your period in the next 6 months. You are not at all late. I was late, I started when I was 14 and in high school. So, everyone is different!
If you're feeling anxious ask your mom or older sisters about their periods. What age they started and how it felt to first get them.
