Norforms work very well with this odor. I have been perimenopausal for four years and i use pad in my panties and Norforms for the odor once about twice a month. Meaning I go by the directions on the box and every time my hormones start up for 5 days I use the norforms. It is like having a period but instead it is an odor. Check with your doctor. My grandmother used them and I consulted with with my mother and she did the same.

Thank you for your response, I'm not sure if norforms has side effect or not, or does it remove the odor permanently or its just temporary.

Hi ladies. I am 56 yrs. old and menopausal and taking HRT. I had a hysterectomy when I was 28 (but still have my ovaries). I, too, am now experiencing a white discharge with no odor. I took Diflucan thinking it's a yeast infection and it went away for one day. Now it's back. I haven't been sexually active in 2 yrs. I don't know what's going on. It kinda freaks me out. I've been on HRT for years so am questioning why it hasn't happened before this? It's got me totally baffled.

I'm a 43 yr old woman having same issues. I am not in full blown mentapause yet, but close. I have had ablasion on my uterus to get rid of cramping/heavy periods. I no longer have periods. Ever since then I have had the heavy discharge. It makes it hard during sex for my husband because it makes him loose sensitivity. Im tired of it as well. Its worse then having a period. I'm convinced its hormonal, but what should I take?

I am 48 and have been experiencing the exact same thing. Extremely grateful for your post. It was very helpful. Older sister is going through menopause and was telling me what I was experiencing was abnormal, so I am very glad to read posts where someone else is experiencing same.

Thanks for the postings. I thought that I was the only one going through with this. I'm going to be talking with my gyn. tom. and hope she can prescribe something, can't do estrogen due to having had breast cancer. It's making me miserable. One post said emberen can help. See what doc says. Thanks again for addressing this issue

Very glad to find this thread. I"m 51, perimenopausal - I've had my period only once since December, and that was in April. I've had problems with discharge for years, but about two months ago it stopped, for the first time in years - and I started getting hot flashes about 10 times a day, they just suddenly started. Then two weeks ago the hot flashes subsided (but didn't fully stop) and the discharge came back, heavier than ever. I have to change the pantiliners twice a day. Will it ever stop???

I am 45, soon to be 46 next month. I started with the night sweats when I was 35 or 36. That's also when I found out I had fibroids. Two small ones, I had a sonogram where they were shown to me. My periods were very heavy back then. Then as the years passed I started having really bad hot flashes and just a terrible time with my periods where sometimes if I didn't excercise or eat right, I wouldn't be able to get our of bed. I changed my eating habits and started exercising more. I took out a lot of sugars and red meats from my diet and processed foods. I also started taking supplements for the hormonal imbalances. Everything was fine, I lost a little weight and the hot flashes all but subsided. Then when I turned 45, the light creamy white discharge started. I went to the doctor several times. The first times they said it was bacterial vaginosis, I was told to only use Dove soap and to wash my underwear in hypoallergenic detergent. Then I went back to the doctor because the discharge came back and the tests came back negative. My daughter suggested it was due to hormonal changes and I have to wear a panty liner sometimes. Some says it's more then others. It has a little odor. My periods have been odd lately. Coming sooner then the 28 days and lasting longer then a week. The discharge one time mostly recently was blood spotting and it smelled fishy because of the blood. But now the night sweats and hot flashes have come back more often. The discharge is the same. I am glad that others are pointing that out because no one ever talks about the discharge associated with the changes of perimenopause. Thank you Ladies. I will be getting my annual check up next month. The month of my birthday.

Hi, I know this is over a year old but it was nice to see that I'm not the only one that hit early menopause at 39. I'm on BHRT cream right now and have been for a little over a month now with no change except for a sticky, glue like discharge which wasn't there before using the cream I'm frustrated and confused and wanted to know from a fellow 40 year old to another what you're doing about your symptoms of you have any. My hot flashes are the worst, along with short temper and mood swings. I was blessed with a very sweet and patient husband.
