I've been menopausal for over 10 yrs now and my discharge is thick and white. It is caused from vaginal dryness witch causes you to loose your natural moisture. So the discharge gets thicker and intercourse is painful and I get get red and irritated down there because I'm so dry.so I use a product called Hyalofemme and you can buy it thru Amazon. It will help keep you moist and keep you from being so dry. This stuff is great . I have been using it for months now. Insert it befor intercourse.

My doctor says its normal and nothing is wrong ( as he has tested me for any STD - even tho I told him my husband is not screwing around on me ).....i don't agree with him.
I do agree that its hormone related as I have only had this problem since I am also perimenopause but have no where to turn and keep surfing the internet hoping that I read something that may be helpful.
I would love to find an answer also.
I wonder if there is a herb we can take to help our problem?

I am so thankful to have found this site! I am 55 and haven't had a period in 14 months. I had a mammogram about 3 weeks ago. About a week later, I started having watery like discharge that when it dries it is a pale yellow/ white color. Along with this, my breasts have become very sore like they did when I was about to start my period. Last May, my pap test was normal and after that, I had to have a ultrasound on my kidneys/ bladder in addition to a cystoscopy. All was normal. The reason I had to have these is because after having a really bad UTI, I began to have pain after urinating. This all came about after my pap test. The lubricant used burned me terribly. The urologist said I had an allergic reaction to it. Since then, I still have the burn spasm-like feeling after urinating though not all the time. I do have an appt. f/ my routine exam at the end of next month. I am so very scared due to my last experience. (I am not going back to the same gynecologist.) I never like going but now I'll just say, "I am literally terrified." Now, with the discharge that scares me even more. I was diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia, but I don't want to blame everything on that! I think I am still in menopause because from what I've read post menopause is 24-36 months after your last period. Is this right? Does anyone have any idea what my issues could be? Help!!! :)
