Okay ... so yesterday i ate an egg after microwaving it and it exploded in my mouth. I woke up this morning and my bottom gums are white and under my tongue is swollen. I can hardly put my tongue down. What can i do to help this. ALSO a little off topic but i also noticed before this happened, pimples under my tongue.. IS THAT NORMAL ??????????

Hallo,

How do you mean it exploded? How hot was the egg? I think that you burned your tongue pretty bad and the white color on your gums is just the layer of skin that got burned. You need to wash your mouth regularly and avoid any hot and too cold drinks and food. You will have problem with this for several days until your upper layer of tongue and gums is healed completely.  The blisters are just a normal reaction from the burning of the tongue and the gums. You shouldn’t have any more complications with this but just in case if you notice anything you should see your doctor as soon as possible.

Regards,

Karen

This just happened to me a few days ago. I ate a dumpling that was just piping hot and felt it burn the bottom of my mouth, under my tongue, right away. Next morning it was totally swollen and uncomfortable to talk even. I washed my mouth out with salt water a few times a day and now everything is just fine. The white fluffly parts have pretty much gone away and there is still just a minor bit of swelling.
