I had a heavy period in October with really bad cramps. I did not have another period until 8th jan, my period then lasted until 27th jan. I was unable to get a doctors appointment until 4th Feb. I had blood tests for hormone inbalance and blood count. While waiting on the results my heavy period started again on 8th Feb. The blood tests came back clear. I informed the doctor that I had started bleeding again and was given Tranexamic 500g. I was given a week supply of these. They have made no difference I was taking 2 tablets 4 times a day I still have not stop bleeding and it is 28th Feb. I have also not been using any birth control for 4 yrs and still have not conceived with my partner of 7yrs. The periods that I am having are bright red in colour i am not having any cramps this month at all. I have become really down with this and I am always really tried and want to sleep all the time. Please can you help me. %-)

I have the same thing but I have been bleeding for 65 days. I have Pcos so that explains my problem...you may have that too. 2%-5% of reproductive age women have it so it's a good possibility since you have not conceived in 7 years. Pcos can cause fertility and menstrual issues. You should look it up and see if you have any other symptoms. then have you dr. check you. good luck.
