i read it can have a fatal effect but it makes me high when i mix it with alcohol, what could happen to me??

You can die. Your doctor would never have prescribed temazepam to you if he had known that you are a regular drinker. Both temazepam and alcohol are metabolized in the liver. Alcohol can inhibit or slow down the break down of temazepam resulting in an overdose.
