9 months after triple bypass hearth surgery I am lucky to get 2 hours sleep at a time. Then 3 or 4 hours later I may get 1 or 2 more hours sleep.
It is killing me.
Any help?

Hello.
Sleep disturbances are not uncommon after major medical procedures, and they can significantly impact your well-being. There are some general strategies that might help improve your sleep quality:
- Establish a Regular Sleep Routine: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same times every day, even on weekends.
- Create a Restful Environment: Ensure your bedroom is quiet, dark, and at a comfortable temperature. Consider using earplugs, eye shades, or white noise machines if needed.
- Limit Naps: While tempting, especially when you're not sleeping well at night, try to avoid long or irregular napping during the day.
- Mindful Relaxation Techniques: Practices like deep breathing, meditation, or gentle yoga before bed can help calm your mind.
- Monitor Your Diet and Exercise: Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime. Regular, moderate exercise can promote better sleep, but avoid vigorous activity close to bedtime.
- Limit Screen Time Before Bed: The light from screens can interfere with your natural sleep cycle. Try to avoid electronic devices for an hour or so before bed.
I wish you luck.
