I'm not sure why but the hair on the sides of my head is really short and fluffy, while the rest is long and straight. It also seems to be falling out more easily and it's really thin. I have no idea why this would be happening because it only started when I decided to let my hair grow long. It's covered by longer hair growing from the top of my head, but its really starting to annoy me.
please help

You could try using Rogaine to help stop the hair from falling out.
Do you wear hats? Don't wear hats because they cause friction and heat which can both accelerate hair loss.
Good luck. :-)

Hello there williamB,
Sometimes the same thing is happening to me but usually when the season is changing. In the spring I have so much of that fluffy and short hair which sticks out all the time, especially when my hair is clean.
Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of this except to cut your hair short and I presume that you don’t want to do this. But it helps when you are using hair masque. I know that this is girlish but you can try it and see if the situation is going to be better.
I hope that this was helpful and that you will ignore this hair because it is not worth to stress about this.
