my nephew is diagnosed with cerebral palsy and I’m helping his parents by driving him to physical therapy. He has a really bad case of athetoid movements and so far we haven’t found any successful way for managing them. At the latest appointment Ben’s neurologist told us he has to stand at least 2 hours every day, and that seems impossible without any treatment that would help with athetoid movements.

I’ve heard that wearing a specifically designed lycra vest might help in controlling the movements, but if there are any parents of children with cerebral palsy - does this lycra vest works?
