Maybe it is just a brown discharge after period. Sure, sometimes brown discharge can be an indicator that you have some STD. From my own experience, it all indicates to bacterial vaginosis. This is an overgrowth of normally occurring vaginal bacteria and to be honest, it is the most common vaginal infection that causes a vaginal odor. Sure, someone will tell you that it can be a Chlamydia and gonorrhea, but those infections usually don't cause vaginal odors. In order to be sure what is happening, you should get tested on several issues, bacteria, and even STD, to be sure. Good luck.

Considering you had your period, which was 7 days long, I don’t think you are pregnant but it is possible that you have an infection, not necessarily an STD.
The only way to know for sure and see your gynecologist and have tested for infections and std’s. This could be your normal discharge that may also smell funny. Brown discharge usually indicates blood and if this happens after or before period, it should be ok because it may indicate the beginning of your period or an old blood but if you experience bloody discharge in between periods, then you should have it checked.
You could have bacterial vaginosis that occurs when there is an excessive growth of normal bacteria that live in the vagina. This condition is common and can be easily treated but if it is not treated it may increase the risk of pre cancerous changes occurring in the neck of the womb or cervix.
I heard that Chlamydia also may cause bloody discharge. Chlamydia is an STD but it is also easily treated and there are complications if not treated.
Strange discharge may occur when you are douching or washing excessively with harsh soaps.
