Hi Everyone!! I am new to this site, but am hoping someone could give me a little insight.  I have been on birth control (pills) for almost 7 years now, I have a boyfriend of a couple years now, we've had the baby talk and we aren't trying to get pregnant but wouldn't exactly be upset if we were to get pregnant.  My period has been irregular for the past couple months, and I started heavily spotting 2 weeks into my pills (this month) I called my doctor she said to stop taking them, let myself have my period and start back up on the following Sunday.  So I did so, I only ended up spotting for a few days, and I forgot to pack my pills when I was away for a long weekend and didn't get to start my pills on Sunday.  My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex monday, and he did not "pull out" it is now Tuesday, I have no idea if I am in my ovulation time because as I said earlier, I have been so irregular lately.  I can't get an appt at my doctors until next wk. I am wondering if I could be pregnant?  Any thoughts are appreciated!  Thank You!

After seven years of being on the pill, I think it's very unlikely that you possibly could have been ovulating at the time you had unprotected sex, simply because the pill has been preventing you from ovulating for all these years and it takes some time even after you completely stop taking the pill (not only skip some of them from this month - if I understood you correctly) to begin ovulating again. It is way too early to do any kind of test, so you will have to count on your doctors visit to clear things up.
