Im a 12 yr old, and im 80 pounds. Now, alot of people say theyd die to be as skinny as me, but im constantly being called anerexic. Which isnt possibly true because I am constantley eating whatever I have. I am starting to develop hips, but it makes me look even more bony than I already am. My friends tell me, oh well since your getting hips, youll start gaining weight, but im not. I would like to try some protein shakes and supplements, because my mom takes them and they work very well. Anyone have any other suggestions? Also, I drink milk like crazy, and it all seems to go straight to my hips, how big are they going to get gosh! I am on a mission to get a better self esteem about my body and be able to wear tight shirts knowing that people arent staring at my ribs. Another thing, I am pretty much flat. What can I do about this, when I sa flat, I mean boobs, my butt is getting pretty big from the hips, but my boob shavent grown since like 5th grade!!! Help please.

For one thing, you shouldn't be so worried about your weight if you are eating a good nutritional diet. If you are healthly over all despite the fact that you are thin, get it off your mind. Factors you need to consider with this are proper diet, family history (were there others in the family this way?) etc.

If you really think it is a problem, have your parents take you to the doctor and get your thyroid checked. If a medical problem is causing this, normally its due to hyperthyroidism. However, it is more likely due to genes, which are natural.

For your other questions, don't worry about "developing"! Some girls develop early, some late. That also is hereditary.

Go on with being a kid!!! At your age, unless there is a medical problem, you are just fine.

My daughter is 24. When she was 12, she had barely started developing breasts; her nipples were "budding." There were only wisps of pubic hair and she had no hips or ass. Today she's a beautiful, shapely young woman.

Her mom and aunts are the same. Sometimes we worry too much about why we are "different." Guess what? We are all supposed to be different.

Go to the doctor. You may have a health problem. Eat a balanced, healthy diet. Don't go for highly processed, manufactured food. It is not good for you, no matter what the companies who make it say. Oh gee, they y=tell you it's good for you so hey can make money!

I had the same problem from when i was in elementary school all the way till 9th grade. I was 80 lbs, and i looked too skinny. I joined a sports team and started running and i gained a healthy 30 lbs of muscle and fat and started growing boobs. So if eating isn't helping, start excersizing!
