DO NOT BE SCARED this is just a stage of puberty were your body is producing hormones you will get them in both nipples after one goes away it forms in the other nipple yes they hurt but its nothing to be scared about

Sometimes...but not always.

Don't worry.

See the other posts that are here... many boys have t his at differing times. Don't panic... next time you're in the doctor's office, mention it, and he'll do an exam just to double check.

Hey guys I gave the same problem with my right nipple, I'm 16 and the lump has been there for about a year. I had the same lump on my left nipple and now it's gone.I posted a question on Yahoo! with two pictures of my right and left nipple and people started saying I might have breast cancer. Is it possible for a male to get breast cancer and if so, do I have it or is it just a process of puberty?

Yes, it is possible for men to get breast cancer.

No, it is not likely that the lumps that you are seeing are from breast cancer...
However, if you are concerned, you can ask a doctor to do an exam and set your mind at rest.

Finally, you are probably correct that this is a normal function of puberty, but if you want to be sure, see a medical person for an exam.

good luck,
don't worry! 8)

Hey man, these lumps shouldn't be anything at all. I've had them I was 13. They usually go away within a couple months, maybe a year. However, if you've been feeling dizzy and such, you should probably see a doctor about it. Men CAN get breast cancer, and If you're worried about, go see someone about it.

this same thing happened to me...i asked my doctor about it and he has told me that it may just be a muscle that you found out that you had...this is also a change in puberty your muscles tense up an begin to become more noticable.

Guys don't stress. If you have a physically hard and somewhat painful or sensitive nipple the chances are it's milk. That's right. If your nipple feels a bit like a blind pimple you can squeeze it really hard. It will hurt but milk will excrete from the nipple and give relief.

Should probably still talk to your doctor. Don't be scared, remember they're doctors and see things like it every day.
