If you have had three missed periods you need to make an appointment with a gynecologist. Write down all your syptoms, when your last period was, when you had unprotected sex, etc so when you go in to the appointment you will have everything at hand. It is really easy to get a false negative but getting a false positive is pretty hard. Now it may not be pregnancy so your doctor will test for other conditions like cyst, cancer (dont be alarmed its just standard to test for), thyroid issues, hormonal imbalance, etc. If all your test keep coming back negative they may do an ultrasound to look for ectopic pregnancy which is difficult to show up on a pregnancy test.

Good Luck

Cyst can develop really fast so one month you can be fine and the next have a bad cyst. Ectopic would cause severe pain but not at first. It would take several months and depending on placement before you may have issues. Are you taking the home pregnancy test correctly? Are you using the first urine of the day after waking up?

i know what your saying but i cant be getting pregnancy symptoms if it was to do with a cyst like i have never missed a period before and started to show a bump and having pregnancy symptoms. if it was ectopic i would have severe pain as i would be 12 weeks on wednesday. yes taking tests correctly and did a few in morning time and got one faint positive. i just have never had anything like this happen me before.. i am just so convinced i am and at this stage just want a scan to rule the whole thing out as its very stressful and head wrecking :(

A cyst can cause pregnancy symptoms if it is causing you to have a hormone imbalance. Pregnancy symptoms are common symptoms and can be associated with a lot of different conditions. If you miss another period making it 4 months in a row call around to ob/gyn's that have an ultrasound machine in office (makes it easier than going to the hospital and your doctor is not there to look at it). Have them go over everything from ovaries to uterus. You may have a condition called Amenorrhea ("a" means without and "menorrhea" means menstrual flow) and is the medical term for not having your period for an extended amount of time. During your appointment, it will be helpful to give your health care provider a thorough history of your activities, diet, and workload. You can also describe any other symptoms you may be experiencing, even if they seem insignificant. These clues can be beneficial in figuring out your situation.

Good Luck and I hope you can get it all worked out :-)
