I am 23 years old and married. I haven't had an actual period in over 40 days. I was on the pill for 3 years, and I came off of it, in December. Since December, my period has been very irregular. My period has usually been coming between 5-8 days after I am supposed to get my period, since I've been off the pill. So, when my period was late this month, I seriously thought nothing of it. About a week and half ago, I thought I was finally getting my period, because I was having light cramping, and I started to get brownish discharge in my underwear. I am still having the brownish discharge and occasional cramping. I took a HPT this morning and it said I was not pregnant. The cramping has been on and off, and for short durations at a time, but consistent, brown discharge and no period. And when I am not cramping, I don't even feel like I'm going to get a period. The discharge is never red, and I've never had to use a tampon or pad to absorb the discharge. How long should I wait to take another test? And how long should I wait before I go see my gyno to find out whats going on?
