Hello, guys. I have been experiencing for the last two weeks a lump in my jaw. It is painful and the pain is getting more severe. I must admit that I haven’t been to the dentist or doctor. I would like to know what might cause this. I would appreciate all your advices. Thank you in advance.

Hello. Why shouldn’t you visit a dentist? If it is in your jaw, it can happen that your tooth is infected. If it is under your jaw, maybe your salivary glands are infected. That is why you need an examination. Since it is swollen and painful, I would exclude some more serious diseases. Nevertheless, a dentist will decide about a correct diagnosis. If your tooth is involved, you will fix it. If your glands are involved, you will get antibiotics. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
