I have a twinge in the area of my right lung/chest area when i swallow liquid.
It doesnt happen when i swallow food, or saliva
It does not hurt, just feels like a muscle twinge of some kind, i have had it before but it went after a few months, now it has come back again.
Can you tell me what this could be?? i dont have any pain when i breath and im not short of breath!
Thanks
Christina

Hello,
i am a med student, and dont know for sure what all is going on with your symptoms, but would like to know more.
Could you say how old you are,
your occupation....is it causing you any strenuous activity.
How often do you get this pain, does anything you do relieve it or bring it on, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst pain you've ever had what would you rate it, where exactly is the pain - you said in the right chest, but is it closer to your arm or more in the middle, does the pain move to anywhere else on your body, what type of pain is it - is it sharp and jabbing or a dull twisting type of pain. These things may all help in trying to see what is wrong. Also, what are you thinking it may be? Is there any family history of significant diseases and has someone had this type of pain before.
