I'm a 17 year old female who has just in the last month become sexually active. I only have sex maybe once a week and I just started on a birth control pill. I've been tested for STDs as has my partner & both of our tests were negative. I've been shaving my pubic area for a few years now and I've never had any major issues with it in the past, but this most recent time I used a razor that is a little bit on the older & duller side (I live in MN so I don't change it as often in the winter) because I didn't have a newer one & I just did what I usually do. This was exactly a week ago & later in that day I noticed that my discharge was smelling different & was more of a tan or brown color as opposed to it's usual white/clear color. It's been a week and the discharge change has not gone away, it's also been coming more often. I have had no abnormal itching or pain in the area and I've been taking extra care to wash it with warm water whenever I've showered since. I've had abnormal discharge before but never for this long. Could this be some sort of disease? Could it be due to using an older razor? What can I do to improve the situation?

Hi, I don't think it has anything to do with your razor its more than likely that you have and infection there I think, probably something like BV.
