Re: short or long- term burning/aching/tender higher right testicle with ache/burn/pain moving into leg/groin/lower back: My long-term experience says first get urine sample check for infection; don't cross legs while sitting; avoid tight underpants or tight slacks, ESPECIALLY when driving for long times. Take care lifting heavy items; exercise/eat/ hydrate to avoid constipation and STRAINING to have bowel movements; try gentler/avoid too vigorous sexual action; keep "the boys" warm and sleep with a pillow between the knees to avoid "nutcracker" effect. (I am 68 and am into a month or more of this nagging malaise -- I believe rooted in a schoolyard kick in the balls at 12; maybe hormones from heart meds, causing the gonad to ascend; driving thousands of kilometres on vacation in February while wearing pants that got tighter as I ate my way around the country. Good luck -- and send me any magic bullet that pops up on this thread, which I see has gone on for 7 years (The "Seven-Year b***h?") but happily is not the more "silent" testicular cancer -- which is moe effectively treated than most.

Hey every one. This is my first post on the topic but after living with this pain and discomfort for about a year now I need to here someone with a succesful story. It seems everyone with these problems have never gotten them resolved. My pain started after mowing the lawn last june, i went up on my porch heaped over in pain. Looking back it may have been twisted but after laying down for a bit it went away. Since then and more frequently as time goes i get a wierd pain in my testicle then abdomen. In september i saw my GP who said it it epydidimytis, so i took anti biotics and they did nothing for me. After this i had an ultra sound done to give me more piece of mind which came back almost 100% fine, just a variculose vein in the testicle that does NOT hurt and its nothing to worry about. Months after this the pain continues to get worse. I refrain myself from any type of physical activiy to ensure i want be in pain. Last wee i had a cat scan to see for hernia and or anything else that may be there. Nothng showed up ofcourse. This along with many physical exams done by my GP and Urologist that also cannot figure this out. They all keep saying epididimitis however I cant live like this guys. And its not fair to any of us to be in this amount of pain. I also notice in the last month every morning i wake up with this pain now. I really hope it is not chronic and if it is I would think about removing that testicle if it would help.

hi, my boyfriend has the same problem, it has been over a month now. we went to see urologist three times he has done Ultrasound twice and ran sume tests. He found that he had two bacterias b. streptococcus and another one in his sperm. He was given antibiotic for 2 weeks which initially helped ( might be just psychological) and now he has same problem. We went to see same doctor and he told us that in this case it is likely to be Neurological problem with the lower back such as discopathy. we saw neurologist and were given muscle relaxant and NSAID so far 4 days and still same pain.

It's a little comforting to know that there are others out there with the same type of symptoms. I too suffer from testicular pain in my left nut, with a pulling feeling running down in inside thigh about midway down. I also have severe left knee pain and crippling  foot pain. I'm a friggin mess. Yes, I am overweight. This is what has gotten me to investigate the possibility of diabetic neuropathy. Over the past two years, I have gained 30 pounds. That's without any signifigant lifestyle or dietary changes. Since I have no insurance, I have just accepted that I am just doomed to stay this way. I take piain meds. but they only serve to mask the pain and make me feel a little high. I need a diagnosis so I can have a reason to get better and stop feeling like a broken down pile of sh*t. I am 46 years old with a wife and two kids. I own a business and lately I feel so much pain, I don't have the energy to get up and go in the mornings. It sometimes takes till noon before I can get up, get dressed, and get to work. Please Help!!

i posted quite recently , but ive improved a good 90% since then. im still waiting for blood test results, but the doctors seem to think its a deficiency of some sort in my blood (iron, calcium etc), if something is wrong in your blood, then it can cause all sorts of blockages and pains everywhere. anyway, over the past year and a half i have had a terrible job, and up until recently a terrible girlfriend, her ex used to send me death threats etc and things were very stressful, not a great homelife etc and life in general has been very stressful. stress can cause all sorts of pain everywhere, and its certainly one of the things thats causing me testicle and leg pain. now for the stress i am taking medicine called amitriptyline, to clear up any infection i may have / tests may have missed - i am taking doxycycline, and i have also been on a course of another medicine called ciprofloxacine to get rid of any inflammation. i am completely painless atm and fingers crossed it stays this way. so if you have any stress at all or even feel minor depression, please dont hesitate to get it checked out. my life is improving greatly by the day, i sleep better now, my pains seem to have gone, im eating better, losing weight etc and am generally a much better person.

hey rowdie, i took the doxycycline and ciprofloxacine which helped start to get rid of the pain. im still taking the amitriptyline (which i found out is just for sleeping better and relaxing), and im also on an anti-depressant called fluoxetine. i am completely pain free now. the only thing myself and the doctors can put it down to is depression / stress (from my last post you can probably tell my life wasnt brilliant). my blood cleared itself up from all the antibiotics that i was using. my only suggestion would be (from my experience) look back on your life, are you going through stress at all, bad job, bad relationship etc? i had to pinpoint to myself where my life was going / had gone wrong, and as soon as i hit the nail on the head, i started talking about it (im extremely introvert), tried to deal with my problems the best i could, and went into great detail with my doctor about the past 2 years of my life (hell) so he could figure out the best medication for me. as i said in my previous post i was informed stress can be the cause of a lot of severe pains, and for me it was a nightmare because the doctors examined my leg / testicles and said theres nothing wrong with me. so if you cant feel anything wrong, perhaps make some lifestyle changes and talk to your doctor about depression. and im sorry but ive never had nothing come out, maybe you have too much sex and you need to rest? i dont know... hope the first bit helped :)

I have exactly the same as you, just turned 16, and have been out of school for a while, primarily sitting down at my computer.
I get the same feeling, a light ache, which radiates around upper leg and sometimes abdomen.
For me the pain relieves when I'm stood straight.
You posted a year ago, did you ever diagnose this?

Hello guest. I am relying from the above story listed as Need Advice. It has been now about 2 months I have been pain free. I figured I would come back and give you guys a success story because it seems when anyone else gets better they ditch the forum. Anyways. After about a year in pain and seeing many doctors. My urologist told
Me to keep up with warm baths. It could have been a whole laundry list of problems he said but baths would help and heal most. I did the baths for about 2 weeks and didn't have any progress he told me to
Keep doing them every day he said to be patient. I was very skeptical as it was taking a lot of time and I could not feel a difference. However after keeping up with baths for about a month I have had no issues. Once in a while I will take a bath anyway just incase. So to anyone with teatical discomfort I highly recommend prolonged baths. As for your boyfriend with the bacteria. I would keep going to
The doctor as they will probably give hi
Antibiotics. But I would most definatly make sure he is taking warm baths. I really hope this had helped in some way. I will keep tuned to the forum if anyone has questions.

Hello all. I have this exact same thing. Pain in my right testicle and in my right leg.

I first noticed it when I was 16 and come this October I will be 26. So, nearly a decade.

I never been to a doctor for it simply because I didn't feel as if it was that big a problem. It doesn't happen a lot (maybe once or twice a month) and sometimes when it does happen the "ache" is so small I don't consciously notice it.

It's been this long and I haven't seen a doctor about it but been thinking maybe I should but after reading a lot of this stuff about how a lot of the doctors have no idea what it is and what not I don't want to waste my time or money especially with something I'm already quite used to.

I'm 26. I also first noticed this around the age of 16 and I also at that age (and quite a bit at the ages in between, lol) spent a lot of time sitting at my computer. I have no idea if perhaps sitting for long periods of time causes this or if that's just a coincidence. Standing up also seems to relieve the ache for me also, another thing that seems to relieve the ache is wearing tight underwear and pulling the underwear up higher than they should be to purposely put pressure on the testicle.

As for me, I've never been to a doctor despite having this for 10 years. It's something that just simply doesn't happen to me enough to the point where I thought something could be seriously wrong which I'll admit is a stupid way of thinking but, what can I say, I'm stubborn.

The only difference between your symptoms and mine seem to be the abdomen thing. My pain never radiates to my abdomen, oh a few occasions it would radiate very very slightly to my left testicle.

same problem here, left testi aching and left leg aching, it goes off and on and has done so for 3 years, the vein leading from the left testi is considerably larger than the right, but its been like that for years, i think it might have something to do with the cold.
