I am new at this sort of thing. Let me introduce myself. First and foremost I am a Jesus loving, grateful child of God. I am a 49 yr old woman in my 5th year of recovery. Where I am today in recovery is due to Gods work not mine. I simply moved out of the drivers seat and let God have His place back. I like the view much more from here than I did when I was the driver. I have recently been diagnosed with Epilepsy and ADD. These diagnosis were made via test results from an EEG and MRI not based on what I walked into some doctors office and told them!! The long painstaking days of "dr shopping" are a thing of the past. My "self-diagnosing" simply became too difficult and DANGEROUS! My health (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) has declined since God granted me sobriety. I do not consider this diagnosis a burden; quite the contrary! I am honored God gave ME- little pl' me! the challenge. Like Daniel, I am not alone in this "lions den"!! It took ALOT of time but I came to an understanding that I must have courage and put my faith in Him- He IS in control!!
