Okay I'm a fatty, I lost 15lbs...still a bit of a fatty (I lost my moobs though and my double chin). I've been doing elliptical but I'm getting tired of it. I wanna RUN!.
I had knee surgery for a meniscus tear last August and my knee is better now. I also have flat feet. I went out a small track store and got a recommended pair of shoes (Brooks Trance 9). They said they help people with flat feet and overpronators (people with flat feet).
When I run, I feel pain underneath my knees in my shins, what is this? I've always had this and I can run for a long time but because of the pain, I can't run for more than 1 minute...wtf is this?
Also, when I run, I've noticed I land with my heel, is this correct technique? I've heard running so that your foot lands on the ball of your feet is better. I tried this and it was like I was tippy toeing but I did not feel pain in my shins. Also, my abs felt it REAL HARD doing this tippy toe thing...
What do you guys have to say/suggest?
