My partner and I engage in regular anal sex, however last night we had a little mishap.

We always start with vaginal penetration and then move on to anal penetration, however last night during one point he pulled out and when he went to reinsert his penis again he happened to penetrate me vaginally instead of anally.

I'm well aware it's a big no-no to go from the back door to the front door so to speak due to bacteria and such.

Seeing as how it was very brief and we did not continue at all afterwards I was wondering what potential problems I may encounter.

Can I come out of this with no problems at all or am I at risk for any type of infection?

If infection is possible - what type? How soon would it take for an infection to occur? Am I at risk for any other types of problems?

If anyone has any information for me about this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi. You are at risk of thrush or bacterial vaginosis, but it may not happen so try not to worry. If you notice any bad smells or coloured discharge then it is time to head to the doctor, but if you get onto it quickly it won't do any damage.

Tonight was a stupid decision on my half but my boyfriend and I started to have anal sex with a condom... He took it off had Vaginal sex then anal and vice versa.... And of course I drank earlier in the night so my decisions wernt to clear... What is the worst case scenario that can happen out of these of infections? And is there any drastic measures I should do ASAP. I took 2 500 mg cranberry pills to avoid uti infection immediately after. Should I seek a doctor or call them soon? And would that be a Gyno or a regular pediatrician.
