Ladies,
Though I haven't felt any of the anxiety I've read in other women's posts here I do see that having a partial hysterectomy does cause emotional problems, my problem is I haven't felt at all. Since having my partial hysterectomy last March I've just been numb. I've been emotionally numb in relationships and additionally I've had a physical problem. I've been to my primary care provider and the surgeon who performed the surgery and the OB who offered a second opinion. They all tell me I'm fine. I explain that I've lost 25 Ibs in the last year. I tell them I can't sleep at night, that I believe I wake up with hot flashes. That my hair seems abnormally thin just at the hairline. I also tell them that my orgasm is gone. I see this as a serious problem. These men don't. They all tell me I'm fine. Two of them told me they can tell just by looking at me that my hormones are fine, otherwise I would be displaying some visible change, something less feminine. One offered that I could get a referral to another doctor to be placed on a female form of Levitra for the orgasm problem. Has anyone else had this problem?
