Is Alopecia congenital or autoimmune condition? I am not sure but there is more and more men and I even know few women that have Alopecia. My hair is thin and weak and I am very scared that something like this can happen to me.

There are much evidence supports the hypothesis that Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition. And again, the most widely accepted hypothesis is that Alopecia areata is a T-cell mediated autoimmune condition that is most likely to occur in genetically predisposed individuals. I read about researches that have been made and at the end I am not sure what real cause is. I think you should see a doctor and do some test if this worries you that much.
