I'm 20 and female. I have the constant hunger and fatigue too. Pretty much everything you guys said is the same for me. I think we should all go demand our docs figure out what the hecks wrong! I went before cuz I thought it might be diabetes(its in my family) but my doc said it wasnt. I want to be awake and happy for my life instead of eating and sleeping my life away. :-(

Has anyone looked into thyroid problems or diabetes? anyone having any other symptoms OTHER than always hungry and always tired?

Wow what a nasty response with the swearing, maybe your diagnosis is entirely different than anyone here.
Either way, the one with eating then vomiting I would get a check on 'reflux' with heartburn as this is common and can be dangerous.
With others once other tests are ruled out, ME is a common disorder so is CFS (just google them).
A main one is to have a blood sugar level test this will determine if you may be suffering from diabetes which can make us feel very hungry then tired etc all are very serious.

I'm sure that there is more to feeling constantly tired and hungry than just being lazy and fat. The problem could be a hormone imbalance and could have a lot to do with the Thyroid. The hormones control everything in your body from your emotions, to your weight, zits on your face, to hunger and even body temp. Do you feel cold a lot, constipated, hair falling out, lazy, not feeling like doing anything? All those things could mean a thyroid problem. If you go to a primary doctor, they will test your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) with a simple blood test, and may tell you that it is in the normal level, but you still could have the problem. You need to go to an endocrinologist which is a doctor who specializes in the body's hormone system. I wish all of you the best of luck, and don't listen to losers who make fun of you for being lazy or stupid. Hormones are not something we can control by mind over matter and if you have a true problem, then the right meds, diet, exercise or a combination of all those things can change your life for the better. Hang in there!

Ask to have a thyroid function test done, these are not included in routine blood tests. Underactive thyroid or autoimmune thyroid disorders like Hasimoto's Disease (I think it's called) give you exactly these symptoms. You may also be feeling the cold a lot more than usual. Apparently thyroid disorders are on the increase in women in their 20s, I was diagnosed aged 24 after repeatedly having one doctor put it down to post viral syndrome. By teh time I got it sorted I could easily sleep 16 hours a day and was freezing even in summer. All sorted now, medication is easy to take and not expensive.

I have the same problem and its been for a while now. The thing I have been trying to do is eat more filling foods, like more protein and carbohydrates, like eggs, wheat products, potatoes, oatmeal, fruits like oranges and bananas, lentils, beans, and more. I also drink tea in the morning, giving me a little boost. Out of the house I bring healthy Kashi snack bars, also a good boost and a small, healthy amount of food. I am a vegetarian and sometimes I don't get enough protein in my diet. After all that eating i usually take a nap, then find something that excited me and it will keep me up. Soda is not the best choice, but whenever I have it I am usually more awake. Hope I helped! :-D

This is for everyone, except the a$$ holes that like to be mean.
I have the same problems, where I want to eat non-stop. I can literally eat every 10 minuets of every day and never feel full. I, on the other hand, do not gain weight. The lack of weight gain being why I found this forum.
I do have suggestions for everyone though...
In regards to always being tired and never being able to wake up, get less sleep. I know, this sounds crazy, right? This however is tested true by me and a few other people that I know. I used to always be sleepy, no matter how much sleep I got the night before. If i ever got over 7 hours of sleep I wanted to just crawl back into bed, sometimes I wouldn't even get out of bed. I was always over sleeping. However, I found that if I changed what time I got up then I was more likely to get out of bed and start the day. I changed my alarms from going off at 7 or 8 am to going off at 5 and 5:30 am, without changing the time I went to bed (anywhere from 10pm-12am) For some reason this works wonderfully. I wake up refreshed and ready to start the day. It takes a little getting used to, normally around 3 or 4 pm you might start to feel tired again. If this happens DO NOT nap. Napping throws off your internal clock and will make it difficult to fall asleep that night.
For people with the weight gain issues, I know where you are coming from. I used to be 300 lbs, I am now at a comfortable 200Lbs. Weight is easy to gain and ridiculous to get rid of. Most people want to go to the gym, push them selves as hard as they can and hope that in a week they will notice a difference. I did the same thing a while back and I hate to say that this does not happen. However, even as little as 5 extra mins a day can make a huge difference over all. My favorite thing to do in the gym is a cross-treck, it is kind of like one of those Tony Little's Gazzile thing. In 30 mins you can burn around 200 calories, so I think that it is pretty awesome. Just wake up a little earlier and hop on one of these for 30 mins, and by the time you get out of the shower you will have a random burst of energy. (this takes about a week, which means 7 consecutive days, to get this effect. You have to get your body used to working out.) AND BEWARE!!!! If you are anything like me, when you leave the gym all you want to do is eat sweets. I block the cravings by eating a large bowl of oatmeal with honey. You can have a lot of oatmeal if you want. It isn't as bad for you as the danish or bagel you want so don't fret to much. Also, anything with a lot of fiber will be good to eat after working out, just don't eat a lot because... well, we all know what happens when you consume large amounts of fiber.
I hope this is able to help somebody.

Well i wish I could be more help but that is not the case & since no1 has logged on actually given any answers to our collective issue Im going to add to symptoms in hopes that we can diagnose it ourselves.
I am a 32 yr old male who was extremely energetic, athletic and active. In the last year I have worked in Alaska, Colorado, Washington, Minnesota and am planning a 3 week trip to Thailand followed by a 12 month trip to New zealand to work at a ski resort. I have had down town times in my life, and by down times I mean periods of inactivity. And have never had this happen to me. I am always on the go, always going to work, always doing something rarely eating and when I do its usually a burger here, snack there, bag of chips here or a whole froze pizza and thats it for the day. Been that way for as long as I can remember. Can go to bed smashed drunk and get up in 2-3 hours and go work a 14 hour day on a 20oz mtn dew and snicker bar.
When the season is over I usually go on a vaca or do some traveling this last time I chose to go to my moms house and hang out for cpl months until the next season. This is not the first time I have done this so this is not an isolated itinerary. However, I am constantly hungry. I thought I had a tape worm or some disease or something I have been all over the internet and cant find anything. I have eaten 1 chipotle burito in the past and been good to go for a day sometimes day and a half. Now I eat 2 buritos and 30 minutes later my body is in pain for more food. Every 30 minutes it seems like I am absolutely STARVING!!!. I have put on 25 lbs in 3 weeks. I dont even fit in the jeans I just bought 2 weeks ago. Unlike the rest of the posts. I cant sleep. I have tried sleeping pills and diet pills all seem to have the opposite effect. Its 12:49 am and I am wide awake. I have gone another resort and tried to cure the sleeping thing myself which is knock myself out by alcohol. I know unhealthy and off the wall cure. But I dont have medical insurance and a doctor visit is $100 minimum. I dont want to go to a doctor unless I know its major, but its getting major in my mind.
How can I go from not eating, active life style, no stress to be painfully constantly hungry every 30-45 minutes in the course of a month? Some1 above mention diabetes I have a history of that in my family, but it can come on that rapidly??? A tape worm would be takn on my intake and not adding to my round belly right? so its not that. And even tho I am hungry all the time I am still only eating once a day. No more no less. One time a day. BUt i have just never ever felt this craving with such intensity before and to add 25 lbs in 3 weeks something is awfully wrong here.
Like i said at the beginning I dont have any answers but maybe enough symptoms can give someone an answer sooner or later. O and Im on my third 40 oz of Mickeys right now to try and go to sleep. Now 12:55am still wide awake and not even tipsy.

Hormonal problems, such as adrenal fatigue, can cause a feeling of constant hunger and fatigue.

Low adrenal function is often very common but often missed by standard blood tests. Low levels of adrenal cortisol can result in the following: hypoglycemia, fatigue, muscle aches, low blood sugar, sugar or salt craving, shakiness relieved with eating, moodiness, food sensitivities, allergies, recurrent infections, life stressful when symptoms began, dizzy when standing, low blood pressure, decreased ability to handle stress, decreased cognitive ability “brain fog”, swollen ankles-worse in PM, hypoglycemia under stress, a need to lie down or rest after psychological or emotional stress, muscular weakness, difficulty getting out of bed, wiped out with exercise and/or inability to tolerate thyroid replacement. Proper treatment can have profound effects. Dr. Kent Holtorf, M.D. and the Holtorf Medical Group will determine the proper course of action through laboratory analysis and evaluation... :O

I am feeling the same, and just noticed on another forum that sometimes dehydration can cause you to feel tired and hungry. I am going to try to drink water between meals ( I lack in this area, do you?) and see how it goes.
