My dad had bypass surgery seven months ago because he was suffering from very bad chest pains caused by angina pectoris. So, his cardiologist suggested dad is a good candidate for bypass surgery, and since this is an open heart procedure and everything, he took his recovery very seriously and we followed every advice cardiologist gave us. Now, 7 months later, he had another chest pain attack and naturally, we’re afraid that bypass surgery failed. We have cardiologist appointment in two weeks, but before we get there, could anyone tell me is it normal that angina symptoms come back after the bypass surgery?
