I was off for a little over 3 weeks and the withdrawal got too bad. The heart issues are one of the most trouble for me. I'm a very anxious person so they drove me nuts. It's really good to hear yours went away quickly.
I'm thinking about trying Vitex this time but i'm not sure if it will make things worse. I just want to find a natural way to balance my hormones.

I went to a gyno today and told her about my struggles going off birth control and she flat out said it can't happen. That your hormones just regulate yourself and in two weeks you're fine. I was so upset and frustrated I started crying. To make matters worse the entire time she was trying to sell different IUD brands to me AFTER I told her I don't want any form of birth control. I was blown away and feel so alone in this process because no doctor believes me. I'm praying i'll have more luck with an endocrinologist.

I’m so sorry to hear about that, honestly so many doctors just disregard what we say because they are just focusing on business and not solely our health. I went to an endocrinologist in September when I was at my worst and I didn’t go into detail but I told him I had been feeling very anxious a few months after stopping birth control, and he told me it’s absolutely common. Definitely check with an endo since they focus more on hormones! You’re not alone stay strong

Yes, I experienced dizziness around 5-7 months off and I constantly felt like I was losing my balance when I would stand up

Thats how I feel! Even sitting still I can feel it. Its been so long... did it go away completely?

Yes!! I’m currently 10 months off and I honestly don’t really have symptoms at all anymore (besides being back to irregular periods)

Thank you!! I try to tell my experience to those who are at their worst because I know I needed to see success stories when I was at my worst. And trust me I know it feels so difficult in the moment and it’s hard to think you’ll ever get better but you definitely will

Hello everyone! My name is Martha and I post here often before... I am one of you girls who experienced the worst time of my life when I got off the pill.
I am now 1 year and 2 months off. Everything is better for me now but I still feel symptoms every now and then and sometimes it still gets the best of me. I still get atttacks randomly and it will devastate me because I have been feeling well for a long time. I guess thats how our hormones screwed us up when we ingested those poisonous pill in our body.
My remaining symptoms are shaking, crying out of misery, head pressure and weakness. Sometimes I also get dizziness and unbalanced feeling like Im gonna faint or die.
The only thing i can tell you girls is that it gets better. Like i have more good days now than bad. I have streaks of weeks that i feel good.
Hang in there.. i know it's hard to be in the middle of it but if i can survive it so can you! Feel free to ask me anything .
Goodluck to us all :)

Hi Martha - I was reading older posts and I think I read some of your posts, so glad you're doing better!!
Did you ever suffer from insomnia? This is driving me crazy at the moment. Also dizziness and my vision is weird. I've just finished my period and my anxiety is coming back... I feel this weird sensation, like there's internal pressure and I'm about to have a breakdown?? It's so difficult to describe and makes it impossible to relax.
I'm 7 months off.
How often do you get symptoms? Do you ever have normal days?

Hi there! Yes I actually had difficulty sleeping before.. even now it pops up once in a while.
Like I want to sleep and i feel tired but theres this constant knot in my tummy all the time
I had visiom problems during the first few months too! Drove me crazy! Like everything is cloudy.
My symptoms usually re appear when my period is coming up and when i eat something that triggers my anxiety.
Yes i had so many normal days already but everyday its like Im always careful... coz something might trigger me and derail me feeling better. Sometimes it happens sometimes I will have a full good day. I take it as it comes now... it still devastates me though when the symptoms come back but its not as bad as the first few months.
What synptoms are u still feeling 7 mos off?

I know what you mean about the knot in your stomach! It's so difficult you're still feeling like this. I wish there was a cure. Thank you for replying though- this forum is a lifesaver for me.
At first I was having panic attacks so bad I couldn't leave the house. Thankfully that's improved. My anxiety is still tough to deal with but manageable. My main symptom is dizziness- it's been constant for 4 months with no relief. Also insomnia, and panic attacks in the night. I get a lot of nausea after my period too.
We'll get better one day!

Hi ladies, I post on here quite regularly and I’m currently 10 months off. My psychological symptoms are all gone and I’ve been feeling so relieved. However, one of the symptoms I’ve been dealing with since May 2018 (2 months off the pill) is horrendous acne. I know it could be worse but I get such painful acne on my chin/jawline area which I know is hormonal. Anyone ever take Spironolactone?

This forum helped me a lot when I was at my lowest point. I was doubting myself that it was because of the pills that made me feel like Im gonna die.. then I found this forum.
I hate it also when i get dizzy and nauseous out of nowhere. I usually get all these symptoms before & during my period. My cramps are also bad so it adds up to my health anxiety.
1 year and 2 months after the pill one thing I still can't shake off is the fear I'm going to pass out anytime because of the weird sensations I feel. It scares me so much.
I have read it takes years for us to completely heal.. while waiting all we can really do is fight through it.
