Hello, I have to admit that I never thought I will be having this problem. I always had great and sharp eyesight, but I guess that does not matter much when you are over 60 years old. My vision is now blurry, and I assume that I am suffering from cataract. I will go to my doctor next week and I guess I will have to go to some procedure. Are there any risk related to cataract operation?

Depending on the procedure that is used for dealing with cataract, risks and possible complications are different. With extra capsule extraction of cataract, some parts of the lens might still remain in the eye and that might cause secondary cataract and that require laser operation. But I have to say that it happens very rarely and luckily it is treatable.
