I'm really breaking out under the area covered by a facemask (I walk to work every day and wear it every day). Am I the only one? What can I do to fix it?

I hate wearing these face masks, but it is obvious that they become a new normal in many parts of the world during and after coronavirus pandemics. Now when the summer is around the corner and the temperatures getting higher everyday, it is normal that we sweat below the masks and while talking and moving the facemask by continuous rubbing the skin produces rashes. Irritable skin is more affected but also using make up or anti-acne products.

I had to take a break from the makeup and retinol (anti acne cream). I'm a medical worker and I use n95 mask throughout the entire day. I use to rub a vaseline before I put the mask on and even a couple of times throughout a day. You can even use other creams for sensitive skin as well.

However, I think it is important to make some breaks, mainly now during the summer. Like wearing a mask for an hour and then taking a break of 10 minutes so your skin dries out a bit.

Also some of my colleges that wear regular surgical masks do not have these issues. I suggest using a cloth mask for regular use which doesn't fit tight to your face. However, if you are exposed to high virulent areas like me in hospital, where n95 is a standard, then you have to put some cream or vaseline before you put the mask and take a break from makeup and other face creams.
