Hi! I also have Pernicious anemia. This condition is treated with injections of vitamin B12, iron, and folic acid. Pernicious anemia caused a lack of a substance (intrinsic factor) that is needed to process the vitamin B12 needed for red blood cells. The making of red blood cells in bone marrow is stopped. The white blood cell count is lowered. Some white blood cells become abnormal. I felt weakness, numbness and tingling in the arms and legs, fever, and loss of appetite and weight. I hope that you are satisfied with this information.
