pediatrician says that 2 month old infant has labia that is not growing on one side and suggested estrogen use on that side for three weeks. will this help labia to grow normal and if it does not. is the abnormal labia a concern that we should have

If your doctor suggested that your infant should receive estrogen to have normal labia afterwards than it would be probably wise to listen to him. If you are not sure that this is good call maybe you should ask for second opinion and see are there some other alternatives.

And this is not going to affect your child’s health but maybe she will be unsecured in herself afterwards. She is way too young to think about that now but one day she will grow up and have sex and then the problem with labia may appear. Some woman are embarrassed when everything down there doesn’t look like we all think it should look like and our partners are not helping as well. If they see some extra skin down there they are freaked out. So if there is anything you can do for your child now maybe it would be wise to do it.

My daughter just turned 3 months. I just got done changing hr diaper. I found that in that general area It's like a blackish blue. It wasn't like that as far as I know.. I just seemed to notice it.. I been searching all over the internet To see what it was. And believe it or not there aint nothing but girls talking about having large labias.. But It's like right at the opening of her Vulva and urethra. Can anyone tell me if thats happened to their child?.. And no I don't allow anyone but me and my mother change my daughter. please get back to me.

Today I was changing my 1 year old, and I noticed that her labia was really swollen red, and if you touch it, it is really firm. It looks like something bit her, like an insect or something. What do you think it is?
