I started singing in a choir half a year ago. It has been real fun, but I have only attended the choir practice and have not been on stage yet. It is really going to happen now. We are performing in a Roman Catholic Chruch in two weeks. All of a sudden, I am getting the jitters. I think I have performance anxiety. I do really want to participate and am now thinking that I should take some drug to calm me down. What is the best drug for performance anxiety? Can anybody recommend something?

Hi there. I don't know whether this is true, but I read something that might be of use to you while I was researching high blood pressure medication. Beta-blockers are being used for performance anxiety as well. One of side effects are that you can get cold hands and feet but that might not be so nice while you are performing either. Any way, you should go to your GP if you want some medication.
